Chair

Accent chair in pink-peach ombré

Category:

I love bold colours, but I tend to be afraid to use them in my projects. And since it is good to move beyond our comfort zone and it is easier to do it in small steps, I decided that this Mexican hand-carved chair would be a fantastic opportunity for something different.
My idea was to use the ombré technique but with colours which would not overwhelm the gorgeous carvings. I selected 3 colours from Country Chic: Ooh la la, Peachy Keen and Cherry Blossom. I used the darkest Cherry Blossom on the legs and switched into Peachy Keen. I used the lightest Ooh la la in the central part of the backrest.
I followed with Annie Sloan’s gilding wax in Bright Gold. I applied it on all 4 metal brackets and used it on the back rest to accentuate the carvings.
As must as I was afraid to use pink-peachy colours, I was pleased with the outcome😊
