Desk

From the moment I saw this desk I loved its shaped. Especially its legs.
My makeover was to be aimed at accentuating what was already a gorgeous piece without overdoing it.
I started by a good sanding. I went a bit easier on the upper part which I knew I would paint but I had to removed 100% of paint from the legs which I wanted to keep bare. I selected Liberty Blue colour from Fusion Mineral Paint: a beautiful saturated and vibrant shade of cobalt.
As for the legs: the original wood was a bit too light for my taste, so I stained them to give them a more oaky look.
I new this piece was crying for a golden hardware that would work perfectly with its new colour. And that would emphasize its vintage style. Since the upper drawers were smaller I decided to use 2 designs of hardware: knobs for the upper part and handles for the bigger drawers.
